This year, Allen & Company sponsored and exhibited at FSS 2021—communicating to the Central Florida modeling and simulation community our commitment as a key player in this dynamic industry. The opportunity to showcase our Advanced Technology services allowed us to connect, engage, and discuss with current and potential clients who are actively seeking to learn about new solutions and capabilities.
At FSS 2021 we also attended a series of important talks about the need to protect digital assets. The world we live in has many physical and virtual threats that lurk around, waiting for companies to lower their guard—giving them enough time to strike and cause damage. From hacking attempts and denial of service (DoS) attacks to the hijacking of computers and IT assets, industry experts warn us about the need to be vigilant and remain on the defensive to protect the work and deliverables companies produce.
Digital Twin technology was a hot topic at FSS 2021. The use of digital twins—that is, a virtual copy of a physical asset—offers our clients the opportunity to replicate existing buildings and facilities to help them assess vulnerabilities. This also allows for walkthroughs and simulation drills to be done virtually, lowering the cost of training and ensuring that you can run multiple scenarios without the need to mobilize physical resources unless it is a critical requirement.
