2021 Ends with Attendance to National Conferences and Trade Shows
Allen & Company is actively engaging opportunities in Florida, Texas, and other states where we can serve the needs of private and public customers alike. Jerry Johnston has been active in Florida, engaging the opportunity that comes from both established clients and new ones who seek the forward-thinking approach that Allen & Company provides to not only the construction industry, but to a wide range of markets seeking our Advanced Technology solutions.
Texas 2021: Expansion into the Lonestar State
Helene Reiver and John Castro are making headway as Allen & Company expands into the Lone Star State to serve its growing housing construction and commercial development industry.
The Business Development team is going for the win in the Dallas/Ft. Worth region of North Texas. They are actively visiting potential clients such as land developers, construction companies, architectural firms, and economic development organizations. Based on our experience, these are the low-hanging fruit we need to gain a foothold in this new market.
John Castro, a native of this part of Texas, is our new BD representative in that geographical area and his prior involvement with DFW-area organizations has gained him an extensive list of contacts. With the support of Jerry Johnston and Helene Reiver, John has been learning the “Allen & Company” way of communicating value and he is making headway already.
Being active in the industries and markets we serve includes learning from other professionals. After all, Allen & Company is known for our teaming engagements where we serve as an element of a larger solution. Such collaborative efforts are evident in the types of industry events we attend and how we see ourselves playing a part in the overall evolution of the surveying, mapping, and geospatial environment of the 21st century.
RCN 2021: Reality Capture Network Conference
Marc Marion and Fabiano Santos represented Allen & Company at the RCN 2021 conference in Boise, Idaho, earlier in the fall. The Reality Capture Network is the largest network of 3D reality capture professionals, designed to connect businesses, technology, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs with a passion for or interest in 3D technologies. The goal of RCN is to educate, inform, train, and provide a go-to resource for those looking to learn more about reality capture technologies, and all new innovative solutions in the building environment—all aligned with our Advanced Technologies initiatives.
AIA 2021: American Institute of Architects Expo
Events related to the growing A/E/C (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industries are a valuable stomping ground for our BD Team, where they can communicate value to this powerful market at the center of growth and development. At the AIA 2021 Fabiano Santos, Helene Reiver, Jerry Johnston, and Andres Goyanes interacted with architects, designers, and project managers who procure surveying, mapping, and geospatial services. Their questions and comments helped us understand the current state of the A/E/C industry and how Allen & Company can continue to deliver solutions based on realistic architectural business expectations.
MILCON 2021: Defense Industry Conference
The BD Team’s Jerry Johnston attended MILCON 2021, an annual contracting summit in Arlington, VA. The event highlighted Army, Navy, and Air Force agency infrastructure budgets, and among its speakers were past and current Command Generals of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Topics covered information about new partnering opportunities with the Department of Defense and related industry partners, as well as the need for improved infrastructure, facility upgrades, and expansion, and green energy initiatives. Attendees enjoyed networking opportunities with contractors, engineers, and other potential teaming partners in military contracts.
